He used to have the Tandy franchise location until about 2014, when they opened a corporate location down the street. Well, I finally got around to stopping in, and he told me today was the last day in the shop. Everything but saddles and machines was 50% off. So, I got vol 2 and 3 of stohlman's case making books. He didn't have vol1. Several pattern packs and 2 books on lacing. I figured education was the best investment at the moment. He did say he would still work from the house. Saddle owners won't let him completely sign off. Apparently, there isn't any one else around to step in and take it on.... Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day.
