Wdfd908 Report post Posted April 21, 2018 Hi all! I'm working on a deal to buy a singer 16-41. I've spend hours combing the various websites and threads on singers and I'm finding conflicting info. So my questions are: Is the 16-41 a walking foot machine? How thick can it sew? This one is treadle powered, can it be hooked up to an electric motor. I'm a sewing machine novice so thanks in advance Rich Yes,it was a spring loaded foot that walks back with the feed dog & then the spring piushed it forward as the needle pulls out of the material. It should sew over 20 oz of leather 5/16" depending on the leather. Yes,you can put a servo on it. We do stock a lot of parts for it too. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
