Sealant/Finisher I can use AFTER acrylic paint and dye

Recommended Posts

Hey y'all,

I know there's a ton of threads similar to this but there's just so much conflicting and circumstantial information out there, and frankly I only have decent access to internet at work and can't spend too much time sifting through everything, SOOOOOO....

Can some one pretty please with a cherry on top tell me if there is a sealant/finish product that can be used over angelus acrylic paint and fiebings/eco flo dye with out ruining either? Maybe oh maybe?

Hello!

I'm by no means an expert, but from personal experience Super-Shene works great for me on top of acrylic + dye. These masks were both dyed and painted, and I didn't get any adverse effects effects at all.

Please let me know if your question was answered and you ended up using something else!

Super sheen, resolene, and RTC are all acrylic finishes themselves and all are compatible with acrylic paint.  I prefer RTC.  It just works and looks better than the rest.  Sometimes, I will put a second finish over RTC if I want a particular look, but I always use it to seal and protect.
