Members Alik Posted July 1, 2018 Members Report Posted July 1, 2018 Have an old Singer 16-188 walking foot with a Westinghouse 900625 clutch motor. The clutch wasn't grabbing right, so I looked and notice the pads were not completely parallel and adjusted it an also tightened the belt. But I did it by eyeball. I guess I could use a caliper to double check the parallel, unless someone can tell me a better method. My question is is there a method for making sure the axles of the two disks are perfectly centered with each other? Quote
Northmount Posted July 2, 2018 Report Posted July 2, 2018 Gabbing clutch may be due to not having enough grease on the cork. There are other posts/threads here if you care to search for them. Then you can find out what grease to use as my memory isn't quite that good. Tom Quote
