Sheilajeanne Report post Posted July 19, 2018 Okay, I want to add some card pockets to my Celtic bag. I want to have two rows of them, the way it's done in this wallet: http://www.lzpattern.com/Leather-wallet-patterns/leathercraft-patterns-PDF-CCD-33-long-wallet-pattern Would this be done using a double T-slot, to reduce the leather thickness? It would be a bit trickier to cut out than a single T, but I imagine once you got your template just right, things would likely go pretty smoothly. DJole Report post Posted July 19, 2018 An interesting question. It could be one long row, with a single stitch down the middle which makes the pocket, like this example: (the colored line is the middle stitch.) or it could be this way: My thinking is the second way, to reduce the leather thickness like you say. I am curious to see what the actual experts think about this. I'd spend some time with some templates and possibly some scrap leather, making a mock-up. TheCyberwolfe Report post Posted July 21, 2018 I actually have the CCD-07 pattern from this supplier, and it uses the first method, giving you this result:
Sheilajeanne Report post Posted July 21, 2018 (edited) Heh...from looking at the photo, I thought it would be the second method! Thanks, Cyberwolfe! Nice looking wallet! Edited July 21, 2018 by Sheilajeanne
