Bought 3 of them from Don King a few weeks ago, have gone completely thru them and have one left for sale. On an original treadle stand, comes with extra bobbins, bobbin winder and an assortmnet of needles. The Pearson 6 is a sweet machine and was probably if not still the most common harness stitcher in Australia. I owned one in my younger/stupider days and kick myself every day for letting it go. I would buy yours in a heartbeat if I was in the states. I will pass on your details to a few friends in the States who may be interested. I will be surprised if this lasts long. Are you after sewing machine linen or hand sewing thread. I have a spool or 2 of machine thread made by a company called Millers. The paper label actually says Pearson thread. Problem being I can find no reference to a company called Millers. I have been searching for Linen thread and come up with http://www.somac.co.uk/linen.htm If hand sewing thread is what your after and you are not happy with your current brand, Is rolling your own with No.2 Common hemp an option. It only takes a min or so to roll and you can have control of the finished thread. I am still chasing up details of Finlayson linen thread for you. Barra Barra I am looking for good linen to use in my Pearson for some projects. The Barbours works for hand sewing but is so inconsistant in the way it is spun it about drives a guy to the grog when using it in the machine.
