tnhart78 Report post Posted August 31, 2018 Hello all, My first post, I've been browsing for a while and am very impressed with everyone's work. Looks like a great group of people. Dusted off a quiver I made for my daughter a couple of years ago to show everyone. I made it from upholstery leather scraps and some veg tan (to try some stamping). It was my first attempt at leather working and looking at it now, all I see are the mistakes. Got a lot to learn! But here is the place to do it. Enjoy. Riem Report post Posted August 31, 2018 Welcome to the forum, Tony. You're right - this is the place to learn and be inspired by the sheer craftsmanship. There is a great amount of jaw droppers here and all the advice and guidance you can desire. I'm learning a lot every day by just reading older posts. Very nice creative design on the quiver! The contrasting colours make it pop. Is the design your own or a pattern?
tnhart78 Report post Posted August 31, 2018 Thanx, Riem, It's my own design.
DJole Report post Posted August 31, 2018 That's nice work for your first piece. Nice design and layout of elements, and good stitching for a beginner (certainly better than mine was!) Does it work well as a quiver? I can't see the barrel stitching in your photos, but if it's anything like my first cylindrical projects, I can see why you're not showing it. tnhart78 Report post Posted September 7, 2018 Thanx DJole, Yes, my stitching needs work (practice). I'm working on a card holder now. Post some pics when I get it done.
