Members HighVoltage Posted December 8, 2018 Members Report Posted December 8, 2018 Hello! I was wondering if anyone could help me with all kinds of tips on how to properly make this exact dog leash? I would appreciate all kind of information because I don't have any experience at all with braiding! Quote

Members HighVoltage Posted December 8, 2018 Author Members Report Posted December 8, 2018 Thanks! It's really helpful! Any idea about the second handle? I imagine its done with 2 pieces of leather, am I right? And also, do you think I can add something to it just to make it stronger? I'm not sure if the rivet is strong enough for a big doggo Quote
Members Mattsbagger Posted December 8, 2018 Members Report Posted December 8, 2018 Use copper burr rivets. They hold saddles together. And need a grinder to get them apart so........ Quote
Members billybopp Posted December 8, 2018 Members Report Posted December 8, 2018 It's a single LONG strip of leather with bleeder knots in three places. That video that @Mattsbagger linked should be very helpful, and I agree with him that if there is any concern about strength of the rivet, the leather will tear before a properly set copper rivet lets go. - Bill Quote
