JBryan Report post Posted December 19, 2018 Hey all, I have a minimalist wallet I am working on using fish leather (looks like carp to me if that matters). My question is, what's the best process/product to use to seal it to stand up to daily use? Thanks! Josh

He said use a leather sheen (https://www.springfieldleather.com/Finish-Leather-Sheen-4oz). The thoughts he has on this is it is like anything with scales. You want to get them stuck down so that they aren't pulling up. He said he does no fewer that 2 coats when he does it. Getting the sheen under the scales and then pressing it down. They come to me from the factory, with no scales.
JBryan Report post Posted December 20, 2018 Tony, Thanks for the response. Is the Fiebing's leather sheen you referenced any different than the Angelus Acrylic finisher? Josh

Josh They may have some different properties, but they are both acrylic and would serve the purpose here.
