wayner123 Report post Posted August 3, 2007 Hello all, Well it seems my exotic leathers thread didn't get any response, so I am going to try and do this on my own. From all the descriptions I can find, nubuck leather is a leather that has been buffed or rubbed in a way to create the nubuck finish. So my question to you all is: Can a person create a nubuck leather themselves? I plan to do this to a Croc hide that I have. But you all know the expense of Croc hide, so I don't want to ruin it. Is it possible to finish a Croc hide to nubuck by yourself? Or is this something that should be done at the tannery? If you have experience doing something like this, please share. Thanks to all.
