Members Treesner Posted January 15, 2019 Members Report Posted January 15, 2019 could you recommend dyes (and techniques?) to achieve these colors for a motorcycle seat with veg tanned leather? Also if you know of a leather already in that color that might work well I'd be appreciate it! Quote
bikermutt07 Posted January 15, 2019 Report Posted January 15, 2019 (edited) I would guess the top is probably a garment leather with the tool bags being veg tan in fiebings chocolate. Not that they used fiebings, that was part of the suggestion. On the second seat it appears to be a nubuck type leather. But the picture is a little fuzzy. Nubuck is a chrome tanned flesh out style leather used in things like boots. Similar to suede. Edited January 15, 2019 by bikermutt07 Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
