Durkopp Machine

Well, it was running

I believe this to be a model 17-1-1 but not 100% Certain - something inside the head broke, and I don't even know what it is called to look at see if any old machine parts are floating around the world. 

Any help would be appreciated.

THAT is a tricky part! You have to braze it or look for a 2nd machine. Spare parts are no longer available. It is pinned and you have to drive out the pin in the right direction otherwise you damage more parts. I have been looking for a 2nd machine for approx 1 year!

Check with LW member Shoepatcher - he has tons of patcher machines and probably some extra parts.

The part in German is called Herzkurve ("heart curve")

I need to see a better picture of the part.  Is it the casting end of the head that is broke or a part inside the casting?

It is the casting inside the head - I've turned it over to a friend who is going to machine one

Would be interested to know though if you had any Shoepatcher

if he can make them and they do work then let him make a few more (like 5 or 10) - I´m sure these parts could rescue some nice vintage Dürkopp patchers

He was pretty confident he could, we shall see next week.  He said he couldn't mass produce them but one or two could be done
