Members Elder Posted May 1, 2019 Members Report Posted May 1, 2019 What causes fiebings dye to be chalky when dry Quote
mikesc Posted May 1, 2019 Report Posted May 1, 2019 (edited) Do you mean "chalky" ? or powdery ?.. "Chalky" would mean it contained Calcite ( Calcium Carbonate, CaCO₃ ) .. Powdery, could be anything, a lot of what get called dyes ( even by their manufacturers ) are actually not, instead they contain precipitated pigments like paints, but more finely grained and dispersed. ps..Why title the post Bill ? I thought it was going to be announcing the death or illness of a member named Bill..There are a few.. Edited May 1, 2019 by mikesc Quote "Don't you know that women are the only works of Art" .. ( Don Henley and "some French painter in a field" )
