guildsmyn Report post Posted July 25, 2019 Hi...I am having some problems with the thread. I start sewing and things a great, stitching looks good. When I stop, move on to another piece the thread bunches the underside of the leather. When i pulled the thread out from the leather is was the bobbin thread that was bunching. I also noticed that the thread is bunching under the throat plate and feed dogs. Would appreciate thoughts or suggestions on what is going wrong and how to fix this. My machine is a pfaff 145 H3
kgg Report post Posted July 25, 2019 If the bobbin tension is too slack, the thread may unwind extra thread from the bobbin that would cause a buildup of thread underneath the needle plate. If the bobbin has the right amount of tension for the size of thread I think you will find either not enough top thread tension maybe the thread is not sitting between the tension discs or an incorrect thread path to the needle from the spool. A couple of more pictures of your thread path from the thread spool to the needle maybe be helpful. kgg
guildsmyn Report post Posted July 25, 2019 thank you kgg, it was the bobbin tension....tightening the bobbin tension seems to have fixed the problem
