CriticalHitRogue Report post Posted September 8, 2019 (edited) I recently dyed some leather pieces for a dice bag using Fiebings brand leather dye. I dyed the leather and let it set for hours to let it dry, but when I run my hand over the leather piece, I still get dye on my hands. How do you fix this problem? I should mention that the dye that I am using is purple, and I have been buffing the dyed leather piece but the dye still stains my skin. My preferred is liquid in a spray bottle I get from a local farm supply store. That and a soft rag should help you clean up all of the residue.
CriticalHitRogue Report post Posted September 8, 2019 Is there a particular brand of saddle soap that you use? Also, can you find it online?

wizard of tragacanth Report post Posted September 9, 2019 I can't help you with your current problem but I can offer some advice to avoid such problems in the future. Use Fiebing's Pro Dye. It's much better. Unfortunately, it does not come in Purple. nick

Or perhaps another sealer suitable for Fiebings dyes ? I use a water based polyurethane sealer on my belts and various other projects to prevent dye coming out onto clothing etc. I never use dye without a sealer .
