Members jrprottas Posted September 12, 2019 Members Report Posted September 12, 2019 Can you experts compare the less covered HD leather sewing machines? Ive pretty much determined that a heavy duty machine that will sew 30 ounces (1/2") in vegtan will meet my needs. I also have a real space problem - thesmaller the footprint the better. Trying to compare the Cobra Class 26, the Cowboy 3200 portable and the TECHSEW 3650HD. Recently have seen the larger machines and they are too humungous for my space, and overkill for my needs. Appreciate all input. Thanks Jeff . Quote
kgg Posted September 12, 2019 Report Posted September 12, 2019 To sew the thickness of leather you noted you need heavy iron which does take space. Mounting a machine on a table with wheels and having a smaller foot print may help. The only other option is maybe a one armed bandit like the Outlaw but they still will require a fair bit of working space. kgg Quote Juki DNU - 1541S, Juki DU - 1181N, Singer 29K - 71(1949), Chinese Patcher (Tinkers Delight), Warlock TSC-441, Techsew 2750 Pro, Consew DCS-S4 Skiver
