Roz0323 Report post Posted October 15, 2019 (edited) i am very new to wet molding and leather work in general. i recently made an edc belt holster and it turned out ok. one slot is for a multi tool and other slot is for flashlight. the flashlight slot is a little too large and i wanted to know if there is a way to shrink that portion of the holster so it holds the flashlight a little tighter. i can turn the holster upside down and both stay in their compartments but still.. i am fixed on making it a little more snug. I've heard water alcohol mixture, and then heat. not sure if that is the best option. any ideas? veg-tan 6oz already dyed. Thanks!! HaloJones Report post Posted October 15, 2019 Line the flashlight part with a thin leather? or put a leather wrap on the flashlight?
Roz0323 Report post Posted October 15, 2019 Thank you!! That's a great recommendation. I will line it with leather.
wizard of tragacanth Report post Posted October 15, 2019 Well, it would help to see a pic of this in order to make a proper recommendation but off-hand, I would say -- stitch a line around the flashlight. That's how we would do it on a gun holster. nick
