Well ......

Here's second biker wallet, lots to be desired ....
But that's life in the big city, I thought it'd be better,
but, it is what it is = lots more practice ! ! ! !
I like this wallet design because of the overlaying of another
piece of leather over the tooled piece but that cuts down on
the tooling real estate to work with = smaller stuff = harder etc, etc ...

Thanks to Fonzarellis for his tip .....

The "save all" for a bad tooling job on a biker wallet is to dye it black LOL ! !
Hides all the screw ups ......

The good thing about doing a bad job is that ya learn very well .....

Am trying to get patterns /templates made up for future items etc ...

This floral design came up way short, but ....... I can see it now

after having done it etc etc ...... should be much better next time etc, etc ....

Those tools were "A104" and "A105" background tools ....

I'm calling this thing "Rosemary's Baby" = it looked terrible when I finished it, but as time goes on and the more I look

at it = it's really not that bad = we are our own worst critics, something like that..... Still, is sure not what I was

expecting, especially the leaves = I forgot the old axiom "Test before you commit" My biggest complaint with

it is there is toooo much background, not enough foliage but I saw too late that this was the way it was coming out etc...

Finally got this thing done ....

Stats = Tooled piece of leather was 7/8 oz the rest is 2/3 oz ....
Wish I had some 5/6 oz but didn't so went with what I had = Note to self, get some ...

I sprayed the inside pieces with some Saddle Lac (heard that was good stuff) and
when I was scraping off edges for glue I noticed that Saddle Lac was "flaking"
off= not good = don't think I'll use that stuff anymore....
I kinda really don't care for that shiny laquer look (super sheen) but it looks OK
on some stuff....
And, I got a little carried away with the edge dressing ....
The vertical card slots were pretty tight = got to alter pattern a little ...

Other than that, I'm gonna buff the outside up a bit and call it done .....
