wizcam Report post Posted April 22, 2020 I found that if I put some edge ink on a sponge and then lightly applied it to my stamps I could leave a nice dark stamp impression. It did not work real well for my logo stamp, but it worked great on my alphabet stamps, and I think it would also work for numbers. Since this is edge ink it cleans up real well with just water, at least this brand does. If anyone knows a better method please let me know.
maxdaddy Report post Posted April 22, 2020 Those letter do look great. I'll give that a try tomorrow after work. My worry would be the accidental touchdown of the alphabet stamp in the wrong spot.
battlemunky Report post Posted April 22, 2020 Does it clean off good? I'd be afraid of fouling a set of stamps.
wizcam Report post Posted April 22, 2020 It cleans off the stamps easily with water. even the sponge cleans up real good. notice the sponge I used in the picture. the picture is after I washed the sponge Most of the ink transfers to the leather when you stamp. I have found that if you dye first and wax or neutral tan coat the edge ink wipes off with a little water if it gets in the wrong place when placing the stamp. If the leather is dry, I don't think it would clean up as nicely, if at all. I haven't tried it.
