TSes Report post Posted May 20, 2020 If you're talking about 3-D type stamps, I think the most important quality is how clean the lines are, are if you get good depth on leather without the base of the stamp touching. Since these stamps aren't used real often, any material would probably be OK. If you mean carving type tools, my preference is stainless steel because of the durability. But that's just me.
