Members DebHop Posted May 24, 2020 Members Report Posted May 24, 2020 Most of what I learned about leather, lace making, and braiding (plaiting); I learned from the master - Bernie Wojcicki. Although I didn't know him personally, I watched every video on his Youtube channel and referred to them often. Bernie used MS Word to create his whip patterns and it works OK, but I wanted more automation and flexibility. I have since found an online site called Faceplait that is super easy to use, and allows you to experiment with different patterns and see how it looks before you start plaiting. It also gives you row by row OU steps to follow. This really helps keep your place when you stop and start. I didn't see this mentioned in the forums here, but if this is old news, I hope I haven't wasted your time. The program is very easy to use. Perhaps you'll find it helpful: http://www.whipinfo.com/ Quote
480volt Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 Thanks for the link, I haven’t done any braiding more sophisticated than 4-5 strand for handles and straps, this looks inspirational for more complex work. Now if there were only more hours in a day... Quote
