I've seen where the needle actually looks crooked when tightened if that's not the case here you should loosen the hook saddle & move it to the left..

Thank you very much for that insight! I will give this a try as soon as possible, which unfortunately won’t be today. (Appointments that are unavoidable, get in the way of Sewing/repairs/Creating.)
