ivan7342 Report post Posted August 12, 2020 Hello guys, I saw this made on youtube and i think it could go great with some light carving i'm trying on a piece. Just not sure which kind of materials is he using, first some spray on the front and on the back (Just regular paint spray?) then not sure but might it be acrilyc paint for leather? or water based dye? It seems to me that the paint or dye have some consistency since he put it on paper and from there he stretch it with his fingers, i think an alcohol based dye would not allow to do this... Thanks! Handstitched Report post Posted August 13, 2020 @ivan7342 Looks like it was airbrushed ? A base dye on the bottom including the logo , say , yellow, gold, or something light, and a dark colour around the edge. Not sure how he's done the logo, looks very ' neat' unless he's got a stamp made up. Got to be careful about using logo's . You could always ask , theres a link to the web, what harm can it do to ask ? HS
Rahere Report post Posted August 21, 2020 Blimey! Talk about a mess tooling...never close a split ring that way, always use two pliers, to close any gap. You know you've got it when the butt end edges click as they pass each other. But then again, he's putting snaps in as he goes. If he thinned his crease lines...ah well.
