Members Woodshed Posted September 28, 2020 Members Report Posted September 28, 2020 I just finished building this hewing hatchet (side axe) for my youngest son (a belated birthday present). It is a Sears & Roebuck head, which makes it fairly early 1900s, as it predates their Fulton and Craftsman branding. Quote
CFM chuck123wapati Posted September 28, 2020 CFM Report Posted September 28, 2020 Both are very nice!!! Love that old iron! Quote Worked in a prison for 30 years if I aint shiny every time I comment its no big deal, I just don't wave pompoms. “I won’t be wronged, I won’t be insulted, and I won’t be laid a hand on. I don’t do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.” THE DUKE!

I go for the old iron myself, seems like I can never have enough, and eBay makes it too easy to find more old edge tools to refurbish (i.e., play with ) Quote
