Members Nevin Posted January 24, 2021 Members Report Posted January 24, 2021 Hi, I just purchased a 15 year old Juki 1508n machine made in Japan. It had less than an hour use on it, but it has been sitting, covered and unused for 15 years in brothers garage in California. My question is, how much oil do I put in it ,since the oil was removed before transit ? There is a approx.. 6'' foam sponge mounted beneath the machine head ,that still has some oil in it, then under that, there is the oil leak pan, I think, with a screw in plastic bottle hanging from under , the right side of the bottom of the pan. Can you tell me where I pour it in and how much to start out with. Thanks for any help, Nevin Quote
Members bland Posted January 25, 2021 Members Report Posted January 25, 2021 Saturate the foam but doesn't need to have liquid in the pan. Don't forget the top there is probably a couple spots there. The needle bar and presser foot bar probably have some felt around them that could use oil. Quote
JJN Posted January 25, 2021 Report Posted January 25, 2021 This is from the manual. I hope it helps. Quote
