trying to find supplies to build a bench for me

Hello I am trying to find supplies to build a bench for my self. I have search this forum and came up with a few ideas. And I want to find some old or slightly damaged kitchen cabinets and a countertop. I have went to the local home improvement stores and have came up with nothing. Unless I want to buy new and pay a lot of money. So do you all have any ideas? Please?

Here in Calgary there are a few places that sell "Recycled" stuff that people take out of homes and donate for resale. Also we have a "Homes for Humanity" store that sells the same thing. Just the other day someone "most likely a young punk" threw a rock through the back patio door window. The glass place said it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get it repaired and cost $700.00. So I went to the recyclers store, and found one that was only $50.00.

Sorry to hear about your window. I never thought about places like that. And i hope you are some how able to catch that person who did that to your window. I think there may be a store around here like that.

try craigs list there are alot of free things in the classifieds, if not try placing an ad in the wanted section, I have had pretty good luck with finding stuff for little or no cash.
