Swing Arm Clicker press adjustments

Recommended Posts

I just bought a Pedersen 270M 16 ton clicker and it didn't come with a manual of any sort. I've never had a clicker before so I don't know how to adjust it. Does anyone have a manual for this thing? I can't find anything online, not even a rundown of how to adjust the height. Help!

@switchleatherco G'Day,

I had a quick look around, and all I could find was this:

https://vimeo.com/471566377

This was the info that goes with it:

Pedersen 270M-460:

- Used Hydraulic Clicker Press
- 16 Ton
- With Manual Die Height Adjustment
- Polypropylene Cutting Pad
- Cutting Area: 18” x 36”
- Beam width: 18”

With Manual Die Height Adjustment ??

There must be an adjustment somewhere?  Whats are those adjusters at the front? One must be the cutting depth, and the one on the right?  Try it and see, you may see the swing arm go up and down. . Hope this helps a bit.

I have a USM 20 press,  but nothing to power it with...yet. Its 3ph.

@Handstitched That vid is by the company I bought it from!
There are sliders on the front but I don't know how to use them.
I contacted the company that made the machine in the first place, and they sent me a users manual but it appears to be missing the page that shows how to adjust the height. I'm getting it hooked up to electricity on Wednesday, I'll definitely twiddle some knobs at that point, but it feels scary to try to click it without knowing how far down it will press.

Good luck with getting the 3ph hooked up, that's what I'm doing this week. It's not cheap! But I think it will be worth it.

Thanks  :) Theres no 3ph power in my street .  Just waiting for my lottery numbers to come up, and I'll buy a beefy generator, that could run the whole workshop , including the clicker.

Good luck with yours :)
