Laurajane Report post Posted April 18, 2021 Hi! After coming up empty handed from googling I thought I would ask on here I use 1.5ml to 2ml chrome tanned oiled leather for tote bags. I sew inside out and then turn the totes out. I am very careful and have become quite good at not leaving scratches etc but the bag always looks a bit 'used'. Dented and not as smooth as when it's a flat hide, obviously from all of the bending and pushing while turning it out. Is there any way to smooth the leather after the bag is turned out to get it looking nice and smooth again? I have never had any complaints about the leather looking not so smooth but I always strive to do better and this is one of those things that really bugs me. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
