Sienna Milled Veg-Tan from Tandy Leather

I'm new to the leather crafting.

Recently, I bought Sienna Milled Veg-Tan Sides from Tandy leather. 

My plan was to make a wallet, but it stretches so much that I was having hard time skiving the edge.

How it stretches is just because of this type of leather?

Do I need to dry it to make it less stretchy?

Need guidance.

Flat Sienna is what you should have bought  to make wallets

Milled leather is tumbled to be soft, and is "stretchy" as a result.
