Members London Posted October 17, 2021 Members Report Posted October 17, 2021 Hello, I have been looking for a way to add color to Fiebings Neutral Antique Paste Finish, but I don't want to use an acrylic paint to add the color. I want it to use Fiebings dye, but I don't know if it will mess with how the pastes acts. Any and all help is greatly apreceated! Thanks! Quote
Members TomG Posted October 17, 2021 Members Report Posted October 17, 2021 I do the acrylic paint frequently. As with most new-to-you processes, just mix up a small batch and try it. You can also call Fiebings and ask to speak to a chemist who can answer it professionally. Quote
Members amerman33 Posted 20 hours ago Members Report Posted 20 hours ago Hey there, I am curious if you tried the neutral with leather dye? How did it go? Quote
Members TomG Posted 18 hours ago Members Report Posted 18 hours ago Yes. . See previous comments on the subject. But. Don't dilute it too much. As with all dye, you can always add, but can not subtract color in most cases. The only issue with the paste is if you use too much, it can flack out after it dries. Quote
