JaFuzz Report post Posted February 18, 2022 Hi guys! Few months ago, we bought old not working Bernina 217. Machine spend last 12 years in basement and when, we've taken it it was totaly locked and some parts were rusty. After few days of wrking, I finaly unlocked it, cleaned and put all parts together, giving this nice machine new life. I oiled her, and now machine is nice sewing straight and zigzak is also working fine. When i was dismounting it, durinh the cleaning proces, ive recognized that one part is missing in a cam box, so i cant use tristep zigzak and other cam plates. I asked guy who sld me the machine about it, and he said that the part was broken and he dismounted it and throw it away (SIC!) I was trying to get a spare part from Global custmer service, but they said that they ar n longer supporting bernina 217 machines. Maybe some f You have this part and want to sell it, or have an idea where to buy this part? (marked with a red arrow) Best Regards from Spain!
jrdunn Report post Posted February 18, 2022 (edited) No help here but this seems to be a Bernina motto(or montra, or something). My wife uses and loves Bernina machines but anytime you need service on a machine that is over two years old, that seems to be the answer. "We don't support that machine anymore." I do wish you the best of luck, though. Jim Edited February 18, 2022 by jrdunn atrocious spelling
DrmCa Report post Posted February 18, 2022 I could be wrong but I believe that the arrow is pointed in the wrong direction. I am almost positive that a part that rides on cams is missing from the L shaped lever beneath the cam mandrel.

He was showing me how missing part looks like. In my Bernina looks like this:
