The solution of the financial crisis ?

Recommended Posts

The rich tourist walks into the hotel in a small village. She puts a 100 dollar bill on the desk and goes to check out the rooms.

The hotel manager takes the bill, and goes to the butcher and pays his debth.

The butcher pays his debth to the farmer for the meat he bought.

The farmer pays his 100 dollar diesel bill to the owner of the gas station.

The gas station owner owes 100 dollars to the village whore, so he pays her off.

The whore goes to the hotel and pays her 100 dollars for rooms she had rented.

The hotel manager puts the 100 dollar bill back on the desk.

The tourist returns. She didn´t like the rooms so she takes the 100 dollar bill back and walks away.

Sens Moral: Nobody has earned a cent. Everybody are free from debths and look forward for a bright future.

What do you think?

I guess I am a little slow in the head.

I just don't see how forgiving everyones debt is going to solve the financial crisis.

I just don't see the rich and powerful giving up that easy.

Nor do I see China saying hey lets just reset what you owe us to zero.

Well I guess the first sentance says it all.......

You left out the part that destroys the whole scenario:

A tourist puts $100 on the counter

The tax man comes along and takes 25%.

The hotel manager pays a debt

The tax man comes along and takes 25%, etc.

The tourist comes back to find the money gone and has a massive heart attack.

The tax man comes along and cleans out the tourist's pockets.

The ambulance comes to try to rescue the tourist, but stops giving aid when the tourist's insurance is maxed out.

The tourist is buried and the tourist's family is charged an inheritance tax, then billed by the ambulance, the hospital, 3 doctors that weren't even in town that day, the mortician, the coroner, and the tourist's lawyer.

With all the money collected by the tax man, the governor is able to pay the prostitute $50,000. She gives the money to an investment firm recommended by the governor which turns out to be a Ponzi scheme. The government then raises taxes to help reimburse all the investment bankers who felt like they didn't make enough money.

And the hotel is sold off to a Chinese investment company to pay taxes.

Eventually, all these people die and to to Hell for their sins, except for the prostitute. She was the only one not willing to screw the tourist after he was dead.

Real life. Real answers. Real pain in the ...

The problem might be in the title. "Financial Crisis". Nothing funny right now about that subject. The pain is just too real. Our socialist nanny government over here has run the country into the ground financing a cradle to grave entitlement system and now we are $12 trillion in debt with no way to pay it off. It will nearly double in 10 years and they are craming even more of it down our throats with socialized health care which has been a disaster everywhere it has been tried.

Right. It was a joke. I understand and mean no offense to you. It's just an excuse to get on my soap box and rant about something I have no control over.

socialized health care which has been a disaster everywhere it has been tried.

The bonus of socialized health care is that it covers ALL people, rich or poor . We have it in Sweden since long ago,and I really wouldn´t call it a disaster, so I guess you have to make one exception, or at least half a step back, from your statement , Tex.

Somehow I knew this was coming.... Maybe we can start a new topic on why it might work for Sweden or maybe why it really doesn't work as well as you think and who actually pays for it. I just want less government, not more, thank you.
