In the beginning [research to death] stages of trying to figure out the most [cost effective] efficient way to monogram/burn/stamp purses, coasters, wine bags. REALLY don’t want to spend tons on multiple letter sets, trays, etc. Both shop staff are female and shop is in a basement...so...nothing that needs to be moved with a forklift or takes up space like a fridge. Laser is the front runner right now [probably] simply because of cost and flexibility of usage. We are honestly open to any suggestions though...it’s more than a little overwhelming.

Hey ya'll. I'm slowly losing my mind with my bell skiver so I figured I'd try my hand here. I tried searching around a bit but hadn't seen anything pertaining to my issue. I have some 6/7oz leather I'm looking to skive down and for some reason I can't get it to properly feed through. I keep messing with the adjustments but the roller doesn't seem to have enough tension on the leather to actually push it through. It just rolls underneath it. This is the first time I've tried using a leather this thick so maybe I need to do something different than usual? I've adjusted the presser foot and still no luck. (I currently have a 2" pressure foot on.) Then, I blew the fuse.…

I purchased an old Fortuna AS320 Band Knife Splitting Machine for my shop. After a couple of months of working the electrical issues, I finally have the machine working, but need to make some adjustments and lack the guts and knowledge to make those adjustment. I'm interested in contacting individuals that have the knowledge and are willing to help. Thanks in advance.

A fairly cheap cobbler / leather finishing machine in northern Germany (no mine). https://www.ebay.de/itm/193741093791 Maybe something for our members in the UK or the Netherlands. You need space of course but maybe worth traveling... Seller even takes Paypal.

Hello. I have been trying to find information on the Landis Model D hand cranked splitter. Sadly, Google is coming up short. Does anyone know if it the same as the Landis 30? Does anyone know where I could find a manual or spare parts? Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I picked up this machine recently at an auction for it's heavy duty stand, air/hydraulic cylinders, switches, palm control switches etc . (always fabricating stuff in my shop). Don't know how to use it and before I consider parting it wanted some opinions as to whether it is something someone else could use. Probably weighs close to 300lbs? Read where it might have use in the leather business? If it's worth saving can you suggest where I might offer it for sale? Make/model: Vansco Inc DA-100 Thanks

Hello everyone! Getting back in to a magic of working with leather, slowly building a workshop. If anyone can help with exact dimensions for Cobra NP-10 skivong machine, I have a very tight place and will have to sacrifice some furniture to make room. Web search brought a very poor results, Tandy's site has weird numbers not matching images. Footprint and top width and length. Very much appreciate any help in advance. Mike
