I was very pleased to get this piece of work finished and wired up so as the light would shine from behind the 'grasses'. Sadly on its first outing to a prestigious Gallery, the piece 'went missing', for which I barely got an apology and no compensation. I must in future read the small print.....Still I am in the process of producing more and hopefully soon will have some new examples to upload.

That's horrible! I can't believe they didn't take responsibility for the piece while it was in their possession. Such a nice piece too. What a shame.

Its is not the first time. I only wish I had the balls to name and shame.....still I prefer to look forward and after all the work exists..........somewhere!

And that is why some most artists of various types I know refuse to do consignments for galleries any more. Stuff being "lost" or just outright stolen, sold and the gallery keeping all of the money and not just their commission, items being worn or used by the gallery owners/employees until they are broken, soiled, or otherwise unable to be sold. I find it infuriating that it happens so often, and there is often little done to make amends.

Galleries are run by people out to make a dollar off others hard work.

This is stunning work a unique and beautiful piece!
