Members Tugadude Posted May 13, 2015 Report Looks mahvelous, like all of your work! What oz. Did you use and did you skive the edges on your gussets? Great design and execution! Quote
Thor Posted May 13, 2015 Report Another really nice looking bag Monica. May I give you an advice on your beveling? Buy another smooth beveler, cut it and fit it into a wooden handle or just fit a wooden handle around it. Gives you more strength to smooth out the bevel lines. But that's critique on a very high level. This bag is like all your bags just lovely. Tugadude, I guess it's 6 to 7 oz. Quote
Members TexasLady Posted May 13, 2015 Report That's an absolutely gorgeous bag, Monica. Beautiful. I was trying to get to the forum,...not even intending to look at the top images when I saw it. Now I know what they mean when they call something a 'show stopper'. Congratulations on your skill and exquisite taste. Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted May 13, 2015 Report Tugadude, thank you! It's 10 oz, and I skived the edges down on the gussets and the bag. Definitely overkill on the weight, but the customer wanted it to be stiff and heavy. Thor, thanks for the tip! I haven't paid enough attention to my tooling. I really need to do some this year and get serious critiques. The larger sized wooden handle might also make it a lot more comfortable. I'm not even thirty yet, but all that repetitious beveling was still painful.Texas lady, thank you so much for the kind words! Quote
