Here is a short video of the entire armor piece and the tooling. It is my first all leather chest armor (I have made many from foam), and I learned a lot on this one. For instance, it would be better to case and tool the 12 oz leather first before assembling everything since I couldn't get the thick leather wet enough for tooling without over soaking the thinner leather. I also learned not to trust my pattern to mark where the glue should go but should have waited until I cut out the thick leather and used IT to mark where to scuff and glue. It didn't match up and glue shows everywhere. I removed the glue residue but the leather is discolored. However, I am going to paint it gold so that should cover most of it (fingers crossed!). Anyway, it's done and I can't really change it. The customer is happy and that is what counts.
