We are starting to pack tools for our booth at the Pendleton Leather Show coming up at the end of next week. I have missed the last 2 shows because of work schedules but ready to be back this year! If you are in the northwest please check it out. I can make it worth the trip with just free rulers, stickers, and candy. Seeing tools, machines, leathers, and hardware is a bonus. Here is a link with more information - https://www.pendletonleathershow.com/ We hope to see some of you there!

Just got home from the show and I was pleased beyond my expectations. First off I ran into a few leather crafting celebrities. Aaron Heizer, of Maker's Leather Supply was there and we had a nice chat. Then I ran into Don Gonzales of DG Saddlery. Chuck Dorsett from Weaver was not there this year - that would have made my hat trick of my most frequently viewed YouTube tutorial providers. I even recognized Chris "Slickbald" Andre from a Springfield Leather video. Turns out he was there teaching classes. I wasn't really expecting to purchase anything but still ended up going over budget. Next year, I'll be saving my money well in advance to take advantage of the price and s…

There a 4 main levels of competition, Open, Advanced, Master and Grand Master. In each level there are many classes that a person can enter, pictures, belts, wallets, purses, motorcycle gear and the list g…

I was due to Judge leather exhibits at a few metro shows south of Perth , Western Australia this year, only for the organiser to contact me to say , "there aren't any to Judge " * The same happened last year too. .It just left me wondering, why? Is it cost, loss of interest , a bit of both ? While there are some at our biggie, Perth Royal Show, where I've Judged before, , none at the smaller shows. In previous shows where I've Judged before, there was a good turn out of exhibits . Mostly quality work too...a few ' not so good' as well, but mostly quality . And I always try to give positive and/or encouraging comments on each exhibit , even on the not so goo…
