About Me
History
After repairing the driver's seat in my Chrysler 300 with a domestic sewing machine, I started wanting a machine with better "goes where you point it" capability. So I acquired a dusty Pfaff 545, pulled out my flat blade screwdrivers, read the manual, and learned how to adjust it and make good stitches.
Since then I sold the Pfaff and bought a Jianglong 341 (clone of Juki 341N.) and a Singer 31-15.
Blog
Check out Choosing a Motor for your Industrial Sewing Machine.
The blog started because I wanted a place to document the difference between a digital servo motor and a universal motor with triac speed control, both of which are in common use on industrial sewing machines but they work and drive completely different. And I wanted to be able to go back and make edits indefinitely, since I'm still learning new things.
