  1. Tried to order one but the promo code comes up as invalid. Could there be a typo or another code? Thanks Richard
  2. Anyone have a report on the Sheridan Show for those of us that couldn't go ? Richard
  3. I received my new techlite Friday and already love it. The numbers on the magnifiers are 3 & 5 and 5 seems to be the best so far for me. The only problem is the wife has already decided she needs it more than I so looks like I'll have to order another one so think I'll try the # 7 this time. Sure keeps my old eyes from getting quite as tired, now if it would only improve my leather work.
  4. I called and ordered one this morning. I found out if you call and order it by phone and mention the price listed in the Leathercrafter Journal it was 49.95 with one magnifier and the second was 10.00 got the ones recommended for 14" and 8" distance but don't know what the # is. Online they are 59.95 plus 16.00 for each magnifier. Quite a savings, enough for a one year subscrition to the magazine, I know David Reis will love that. They are going to be at the Sheridan show if anyone is interested. Once again thanks for all the help Richard
  5. Thanks Anne Do you have the one with the battery pack or the wired model?
  6. I have to admit that these old eyes are getting harder to see with all the time so am looking for a way to light and magnify while I'm working. Bench lights always seem to get in the way and have seen others using a magnifying visor. This Mini-Techlite with a mignifier that is advertised in The Leather Crafters magazine looks like it might fill the bill. Does any one have experience with this or a better way to accomplish the same thing. Any thought appreciated. Richard
  7. Thanks to everyone for the great advise. I also wrote to Osborne and Lisa there offered to install them at no charge so in my frustration I sent my two favorites back to them with the anvils I had so will see if they were correct. I have others so will try out my new learned techniques. What a great forum to belong to !! Thanks Again
  8. I have a couple of old Osborne rotary punches that I would like to change the anvils on. Can anyone tell me how to press the new ones in. I have tried a couple of ways but without great success. I almost feel like the shaft is to large but I obtained these from Hide Crafters and they are suppose to be the right ones. I am new to the sight so hope this isn't to repetitive. Any help would be appreciated. What a great forum, I have already learned a lot of new tricks. Thanks to All. Richard
