  1. Hi Everyone,

    This is a roper wallet that I recently donated to a PTA auction at my daughters school. I literally finished the stitching about a half an hour before I had to deliver it to the school so this project was kind of rushed. It has a Cheylor-Fenneli kangaroo skin liner which I believe adds a lot of quality to wallet.

    Locals here in the San Francisco Bay Area are not that familiar with Western style carving and decoration. So this sheridan style wallet recieved a lot of comments like "I've never seen anything like it" or "How the heck did you make this". Two bidders got into a war for it. I was stunned when it sold for $240. This has really opened up my eyes about turning my little hobby into a little part time business. I have since recieved several phone calls from people interested in having something made.

    Especially here in the Bay Area there are a lot of people who have no idea what western style carving is and would probably be very interested in purchasing something in a western style. Just food for thought. Thank for your comments.

  2. Cool sheath Crowdog - like the braided patch. Have you lined that area to stop the knife catching it ? What knife sleeps there ?

    that patch is just for show a friend wanted an hourglass but didn't work.the knife is a Böker Tree Brand i was up till 2:00 am finishing it, once you start you can"t stop.. thank you..
