About Me
I guess at this stage of my life I have "Officially" acheived the lofty status of an "OLD COWBOY". Can't say I mind it so much as I feared I would if lived this long.
My life has been spent with horses, ranching, a wonderful family and many good ol' friends. Being raised in the ranch life I learned early on the repair and building
of leather ranch gear. I made my first pair of spur straps using only a pocket knife, some copper rivets, old buckles salvaged from a worn out headstall, and piece of quarter
inch water pipe from a well pump pressure regulator formulated into a hole punch. They dang sure weren't much to look at, but were functional. I still have them hanging
on the wall in my saddle shop. Today I keep good horses and will always do so, God willing. I have a one man, one woman leather shop where I design and make traditional
working ranch gear and custom saddles. I enjoy writing cowboy poetry and humorous cowboy stories. I never miss an opportunity to pass on the traditional art of making western
ranch gear and the the importance of our great Western Heritage.
