Hey Justin, I roped calves all my life. I was a member of the PRCA until 2002. Got to old to beat the youngsters. I went to a couple of old timers rodoes but sold all my calf horses. My wife still goes to a few barrel races so we still keep a few young horses around the place. I have been building saddles for about 22 yrs. I enjoy tooling and make about 5 saddles a year and some tooled stuf

I have been tooling about 20 yrs. I am pretty much self taught. I build mostly custom saddles for guys that rodeo for a living or are pretty serious about it and also for local cowboys on surrounding ranches. I was lucky to grow up around a saddle maker here in Texas that did good work but he was not a tooler so I had to learn that by trial and error. Lots of late nights and scrap leather.

Thanks, I made this strap for Casey Donahew of the Casey Donahew Band. They are a young country band based out of Texas. They play from Texas to South Dakota. He wanted this for a music video they were doing that will be on CMT. -
