    As I said in my Profile one of my interests is beach fishing. I like to carve images containing fishing scenes even if they are inland. Wishful thinking?

    I sometimes add a bit of colour but my strongest critic says she likes them done with antique. Paint it on with a brush then wipe off with a damp cloth wrapped around a block of wood.

    This view is to show the size. The suede sides are 12 inches wide at the top. The "Gusset" is 28 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide. The depth is 8 1/2 inches. The Draw Strings are 38 inches long and 1/4 wide.

    In 1980 this handbag was awarded a First Prize (Standard of Excellence) and a Special Prize (Most distinctive handbag - Standard of Excellence) at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. I call it my "Brag bag"

    I made this cover using wet leather moulded over a wooden plug. I have a small marble stone that fits inside so when it was dry I could carry on and bevel and stamp without distorting the leather.
