Hi Steve, Sooooooooooo, after reading your reply, I plowed through the stack of info I had (manuals and such) and looked up the model of machine I have 706-47 601/CLPMN Then, I looked at all the needles I had given to us. You are right about the 190LR being the needles we need to use. The manual listed 134/35 but further research into the manuals confirms your answer...so thank you for that. It would have easily been overlooked. The needles we had given to us with machine are way too big I think 150's and 160's and were used for canvas (I believe as he made heavy coverings for airplanes). Should be 110 - 140 needles but I need to see what exactly will work for #69 and #92 threads. Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Donna

He was using a 100 needle and #69 thread top and bobbin. He just switched to needle 125 (because that is what we have) but he now is just hand turning the wheel because he doesn't want to plow through needles right now. His opinion currently is that the timing on the needle may be out of sinc with the foot. Needle is hitting slightly before the foot is...he is thinking he may need to retime the foot or needle. The needles came with the machine. 134/35 system. Thankssss. Donna

I am a new owner of an older pfaff 1245. The needle is breaking way more than it should. (I am formerly a sewer on kenmore sewing machines and they never broker like this). Hubby is sewing up a purse and he has broken 3 today!! Once it bent. Donna

How do I make these kind of straps? Is there a special foot or anything or just fold and sew...How to get them exact so you barely see the cut in the middle? This is the back side of the strap with the seam down the middle and this leatherworker did a really nice job of butting those seams together. The front has no seams. Any tricks to getting this nice? Donna (been sewing a long time but leather is new to me)

I have not used them but have been seriously eyeing them. If the thickness of the eyelet works for your use and I think I would put a dablet of some sort of glue in there as well (super?). Donna

We bought one but what kind do you have? Donna I have a portable walking foot machine that I bought earlier this year from a person who made some items for a movie. It was used for this one movie and used on site for repair and partial reconstruction or changes and has been stored. It comes fully contained in a traveling locking case and worked from the moment I saw, and brought it home. I also had a technician inspect it and service it. It was given the okay and tuned up. The technician spoke very well of this machine except for one thing! It would not do what I needed it to sew, belts cases and medium thickness leathers! oh well! I would be willing to work with anyone willing to take it off my hands for what I have in it plus shipping to you! I have and would send the service reciept along with the machine to the new owner. Thank you both. We see the consew CP206R...would this work....as we no knothing about it. Similar to sailrite? Price is right for a starter machine and we do intentd to upgrade a bit later on to a full industrial machine. We will be sewing up garment/glove leather purses...just need something for on the road. I've been looking but so far no luck. Wondering if there are portable leather sewing machines. I will be sewing leather handbags (not hard think leather ones but soft supple ones)...we need to take this on the road with us. Was looking for an industrial model. Donna
