I have a pair of BEAUTIFUL vintage white kid skin gloves. However with age comes the envitable yellowing. Is there any way of refreshing and brightening the color without loosing the supple, buttery feel of the leather?
I have a pair of light tan leather boots that I need white. What is the best course of action? I have used the Nu-life spray on a pair of vinyl boots and I was very unhappy with the results ie they cracked and the color flaked right off just putting them on. Is there a way of pre-treating the boots so that the nu-life adheres better? What about using acrylic paint?
I need advice on how to properly shape leather that will be heavily tooled for a corset I am currently working on. The corset itself involves four panels that are each laced together and also incorporate straps. I will be using 6/7 oz leather. How can I effectively shape the leather without destroying the hours of tooling? Thank you for any advice.
We are relative newbies and looking to reproduce this beautiful piece and need advice on how to finish it. What type of dye would you suggest? How would you suggest getting the antiqued look with the darker low lights? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
