  1. That's awesome! I hope you get a chance to put this up over at Bushcraftusa.com!
  2. I have to say that your case is absolutely gorgeous! It echoes back to the late 19th century and the "gentlemen sporters". I am really impressed, amazed and inspired!

    Granit Slab

You definitely want to get a piece of granite that is polished. If it is just ground flat, any of the tooling impressions in the granite will transfer to the leather as you are working it.
  4. Here in Omaha its 12 with a windchill of -10! Gotta love the Cornhusker State!

  5. Well, we've reached our high temp for the day. Nothing to do now but drink some more coffee and pound some leather!

  6. Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents, I use a piece of finished ash that is 4x5 and is a little under 3/4 of an inch. I shaped it into a torpedo shape so that I could also use it for transferring craftaids as well. I stained it and then topcoated with 10 or 12 coats of poly to give it that slick surface. I have only tried the glass ones at Tandy but am always afraid of clinking them too hard on the granite and breaking them.
