Flap Holster
Sir Titus replied to Sir Titus's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
also it is lined with 4oz cow -
This is the first prototype for a line of holsters. This one is for a Sharps 4-barrel derringer, in .22. It is my first time working with Elk hide and doing bead work. I started the laceing in the wrong spot so when I got to the place where the holster gets laced together there is a big messup. Also the next one will hace fringe in the bottom instead of laceing.

More Western Holsters
Sir Titus replied to Frank's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
They look great. I love the elligant simplicity of the designs -
Also I make people give me the rights to the pattern or art work.

All of my coustom work is $20 an hour to be payed 50% up front. If they pay for 3 hours they get 3 hours and I stop untill more time is payed. I have also worked off of a deposit secured with a Credit card and a contract.

I use Tanners Bond rubber cement. I like the fact it stays plyable and if your edges start to spread when you are sewing, you can roll them and they will stick right back down.

Custom Holsters For Oc/cc Carry
Sir Titus replied to Deliveryboi's topic in Marketing and Advertising
My prices for tooling holsters is $20 for a basket weave. $40 for a Floral or Oak leaves and accorns. $.25 per letter or number. $20 an hour for custom patterns. and $40 for it to be lined All of these prices are ontop of the basic holster charge. I figure all of my rates off if a $20 per hour rate for tooling or repair. I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck. -
a boarder potrol style holster

I chose Awl American Leather for the play on words and for the buy American aspect of it.

I did my first gun show this weekend in CdA, Idaho. I am starting to make the transition from hobby to make a living. I did well. Sold 2 lined holsters, 1 shoulder holster, did 1 repair, and sold 2 mini sadles. I got alot of positive feedback and was approached by the Boy Scouts about being a merit badge counselor for leather working. All in all a good show. I have several pending custom orders I am just waiting on the go ahead on them.
