  1. I'm looking to start my first camp/tripod stool, and I've pretty much settled on following a couple of tutorials that have the leather directly mounted/attached to the legs rather than creating pockets at the corners of the seat for the legs to be placed into. Here are the two tutorials I'm referencing for my project: http://www.craftsmanspace.com/Free%20projects/Fishing%20folding%20stool.pdf http://woodandfaulk.com/make/folding-tripod-camp-stool The first tutorial shows a piece of extra leather sewn to the bottom of the seat for additional strength. Is this necessary, and worth the effort? I'm not afraid of the extra work, but I just want to make sure it's worth doing. Any input on the project as a whole is appreciated. Many thanks!
  2. After watching another great tutorial on YouTube from Leodis Leather I too wanted to give making a stitch less coin purse a try. I ended up creating my own pattern. Please see that attached images of the finished piece (front, back, and open), and the pattern. I've barely done any stamping, so this was a fun project for me!
  3. That's exactly what I wanted to know! I've tried that technique once myself, and as I suspected I didn't let the Super Shene dry long enough. Thank you very much for your reply! It's very much appreciated
  4. I'm just gearing up for stamping my first belt, and have been researching various patterns to give me ideas. It's nice to see the evolution and layering that you used for your tutorial. Thanks for sharing! I do have a non-stamping question, however. When you dyed the sample for the final photo were you just careful where you applied the dye/stain, or did you use a block over the stamped pattern and edges? Thanks for any insight. I'm VERY new, and I'm eager to learn!
