When I braid dog leashes I braid the handle first... you start in the middle of your strings(half way point). When you braid the handle then bring all strings together to braid the leash part. On the back braiding you will braid back through yourself. I use hemostats, they work really well. Hope this helps.

I've had someone come to me wanting me to make a Gun Belt to hold 22 bullets on the back of the belt. What do you suggest on applying that? Hand sew it or machine?
