If I may ask a question about casing? Is it best to case all leather or just large pieces? I usually don't use anything larger than say an 8" by 10" piece for knife sheaths and just use a wet sponge before tooling. is my logic OK for this? My impressions very rarely come out the same.

This is the first time I have tried to put carvings onto one of my knife sheaths. I have been doing sheaths with my knives for about a year now and have always tried to do some kind of decoration on the sheath ( mostly stamping). So critiques are very welcome. I would love to get a lot better at this leather-working. Thanks for looking. P.S. Sorry it comes out so big.

Hello. I'm Bennie, Live in southeast Kentucky. Been a knife maker for almost 2 years now and have been making sheaths for them.
